I've only seen the blue and brown ones... and this one is signed "Top Time" on the dial... and it's got the resin-like case... interesting... looks nice! but not sure if it's put together or not... http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Breitling-T ... 45f3dfe434 |

The dial is not of this watch. Its the same, what I told here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=19986&hilit=806 And it is the absolute truth, even if here come again some self-glorification "Breitling specialists" and make fun of the truth and some clueless which applaud them. This is a watch with a very hight serial number of the end of the official Breitling production 1978 or later or made after the end of the official production. In this time Breitling or Breitling-workers or other watchmakers assemled all parts which they could find in the stock. Even Ernest Schneider has done anything like this. |

Breitling did do an orange Sprint (you can google image it). i reckon they had a Sprint case and and Valjoux 7730 movement and they took a dial from a Top Time that used the same movement. |

I hope the tone of the quoted reply is not the beginning of another thread spoilt by politics, and in fact just shows a poor understanding of English phraseology. Maybe a contributing moderator will comment or go further ? |

We obviously can't see the movement, but what I see all looks correct for Breitling, but as Novacastrian suggests this looks like an assembly of two models, certainly not an original piece. As for the tone of other comments. I think that I have made my position clear, behave and stay, be accusatory, inflamatory or provocative and don't expect to post much more. |

Herbert is right that this dial and hands have been fitted onto a fiberglass case for which an orange Sprint dial was intended. That bezel color matches the dial color for these - blue, green, brown and orange. As to the origin of this watch. I was almost certainly assembled recently. Herbert maintains that these were assembled shortly after the company closed and that this was most common. This example does not bear any witness to being from company parts thirty years ago. And, I do not claim to be an expert about anything. I just expect to see reproducible evidence of statements, conclusions, and hypotheses. A bald-face surmise and assertion seems to be the basis of Herbert's "research" and we have many dozens of examples of his wares and statements at his website to show for it. I think we can safely conclude that this watch is assembled from NOS parts and quite recently. |
