At some point I conned my Dad out of his Top Time (the only number on the back is 2000). Unfortunately, at some point the glass got cracked, then lost altogether. It's been sitting in a jewelry box for at least the last 10 years. I've always felt bad that I wear a Timex instead of this fine timepiece.

Anyway, can anyone hazard a guesstimate as to how much it would take to replace the glass and give it a tune-up? (I'm going to assume it's in working order other than needing to be cleaned and oiled.)

I am in Markham Ontario if anyone has a recommendation for who would be up to the job.

I suppose I always could always give it back to Dad as a birthday gift. Won't he be surprised.

Indeed it would be a nice gift for your pops...

Shouldn't cost too much... we have a forum member here ID (chronodeco) who could help you out... he pretty much is one of the main guys that takes care of our vintage pieces... (at least all of mine)

prices are reasonable through him... with a full overhaul probably looking at 300-400 bucks... maybe a bit less... maybe a bit more... if all the pieces are there, should be an issue of just disassembly and a new mainspring with a lube job...

Lots of inquiries for Top Times...

nice I like it~! :D

I'm a couple of hours north of you and I have used Craig / chronodeco. Don't have many pieces needing TLC right now, but he'll be my go to guy for any restoration work going forward.
