Can someone help me determine what model watch this is? I just bought one just like this but in a lot better condition than this one but these are better pictures than the ones that i got from the seller. Yes i know the condition of this watch is pretty bad but i would just like to know what model it is. From the little information i can get about it online i think it's dated between 1968-1972 with a Valjoux 7734 movement, from what i can read from some other pictures i have of it there are 4 digits on the case back and they are 14 35. If anyone has any clue what model this is please let me know. Pictures courtesy of a seller on ebay. Once i get it i'll try to get some nice pictures of it and see if i can repost them here. Thanks a lot |

1435 will be the model number - it's not one that I know immediately, but I'll check it and post again. If you have the serial number (probably on the inside of the caseback) then I can give you the exact year. |

Found a post in another forum but they couldn't really identify it either. I'll post the link since there are some more pictures. Thanks http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=94716 |

I'm not sure about this one. Styling wise it definitely looks late 60s, and the 7734 looks right. I can't find a comparable in the guide - there are definitely styling cues with the Top Time and Datora of that era, but it isn't either of those. 1435 isn't a model listed in the guide, but there are models missing so that doesn't mean much. Sorry - Paul may recognise it when he next stops by. |

I found what looks like the same watch (different bracelet) here.. http://www.clubbreitlingisrael.co.il/si ... 4&seaWord= Fourth page of 1970-79, top row, middle. Listed as 1972, but I cant understand the wording. |

Definitely pretty close - looks like the red hand is different, but that may be simply a minor change for a different model year or a replacement hand. That's the same site that Paul found as a model reference - I tried to get to the model reference page this morning and it wouldn't load (it's always slow) so couldn't check if the 1435 was listed there (the link is http://www.clubbreitlingisrael.co.il/24 ... ING_MODELS if it works for anyone else) |

Thank you for the replies. After doing some more research i found two different case backs for the same watch. I was getting the four digit number "14 35" from the second picture. Here are pictures of both of them. ![]() ![]() I was looking through those pages and i was wondering does anyone know know why only some Breitling's have the stylized "B" logo on the face with the words Geneve under the Breitling name and some don't. Browsing those pages i spotted a few models that just said Breitling and they years on those were from 1972 as well. |

You're not helping TM1 - this is getting more confusing ![]() The top caseback 'looks' original, and the serial number is for 1972, but the model number (592) doesn't match anything I can find. I have never seen a caseback like the bottom one, that is completely beyond me. You can't use the logos as a definitive aging method - they are more styling cues in many cases, with the notable exceptions of the stylized aircraft for Navitimers and the shift from a script font to a print font during the 60s. |
