Hi,

New to this forum. Found it while researching a vintage breitling i wanted to buy.
Can you help me to determine if this watch is authentic.

It's a 1972 9122 with the correct Valjoux 7733 moevement. The bridge stamping looks OK, I'm a little concerned about what looks like the removal of some markings on the running seconds plate (left hand side of the movement photo), but not sure what that would be - I think it's OK.

The dial looks correct and original as do most of the hands. I think that the chrono seconds is a replacement, I believe that the original one was gold. The crown is a close approximation to the original, but from memory it should have a B on it so will be a replacement. The pushers look original although the gold has worn off (the watch is gold plated).

Not a watch that we see too often.

It's one of those dials that don't have the Geneve below the Breitling... although it's post 1950's...

I've seen these in another case with the silver dial... probably from the same year... doesn't look too bad
