I was wondering if anyone could give me a little help. I own a vintage Breitling Chronograph wristwatch that I can narrow down to the 1940's or 1950's by the two rectangular buttons on the side of the watch at 2 and 4 o'clock. Would anyone be able to deduct the year of the watch by the serial number engraved on the caseback. Here is the serial number: I have added a link that has some pictures of the watch.

Can you post pictures please?

That serial number is more than 100,000 earlier than the accurate records starting in 1944.

There's a ref 709 on page 29 of the Richter book, upper right pic. Looks a little unusual like the pusher buttons are spaced widely apart. Page 159 describes the 709 as "Hand-wound, round case, square buttons , 45 minute counter, various scales. Need a pic to confirm that's what it really is.
