I'd like to get an opinion on this Chrono-Matic TransOcean. I have earlier seen a few with a blue dial, but not one with a white dial. What do you think? Sorry, I don't have more pics...

What I see looks OK and in good condition - early with the red date wheel. You know what I am going to say about movement and caseback photos.

Looks nice... been looking for one myself...

at the right price that is... :lingsrock:

Ditto on the caseback and movement photo~!

I think these Transocean pieces tend to ask for a bit more than the regular c-matics...

Go Antiques had a blue for $2,450 and a white for $2,750 a little while back - both sold now I believe. Not sure what they actually went for.

I own one of these and LOVE it. Has a great, heavy feel on the wrist. i prefer the white (its actually silver) dial to the blue because of the contrast it creates with the blue ring around the outside. I also prefer the 2 register chrono- matic to the three register Valjoux (???) because of the historic nature of the movement. Loads of people ask about the crown on the opposite side. When i tell people how old it is they're amazed. This design has really held up well. Good luck with the purchase.
