Looking at some of his previous auctions this guy has quite a business going in 'creative' watches. I wouldn't buy a perfect watch for that money from a Turkey based seller with feedback below 99% let alone that POS.

A case of trying to hard and shooting yourself in the foot.

Pattern 3169 is a British Military designation for a very specific dial layout and pattern.

It should look like this on watches.

Before eBay hide the bidders IDs, I used to send some of them a message to tell them they were either bidding on or had bought a fake. Incredibly, the majority of the responses were negative as in: mind my own business, I don't care or just "f--k off". After trying this several times I gave up.
Back in the 80s I started an inspection service for auto buyers called "Skip-A-Jip" so people could have a car inspected before they bought a lemon. Basically the same type of thing happened. Most people could not or would not believe what I told them and bought the car anyway! Especially if it was the "right" color. After a couple of years I gave up on that one too.
Never could understand this type of human behavior? Some form of self punishment? Denial run amuck? I just don't get it. Craig

I would say, quite honestly, that it is laziness. It’s like the difference between playing “Guitar Hero”, versus spending years practicing.

Lots of people recognise that researching, finding, and having the financial wherewithal to purchase a fine vintage watch is a mark of taste and distinction. But from experience, I know it takes a long time to filter out all the noise and know anything about the topic.

It’s human nature – people kid themselves that it is easy to find something special. Here’s the reality – there are only a few thousand people on the planet who can claim any expertise concerning vintage Breitlings. From regular contributors to sites like this to old industrialist dudes in France, “legitimate businessmen” from southern Italy and former US Admirals – we are the type of distinguished gentlemen who really appreciate fine timepieces.

I say “do not despair”! Those of us who recognise genuine pieces are in good company!
