This is a "sensitive" question Roffsensian as my other vintage "Breitling " is a Montbrillant chrono from the 40´s?, but after reading in this forum a couple of emotive related threads , I wouldn´t like to began "to swim over trouble waters" (is this sentence correct or understandable ? Sorry if it is not). In fact , I was able to have a very interesting talk offline on the matter with Bill in Sacramento, many months ago w (Hi pal :D, do you remember me? )

Anyway, I will try to be in touch from time to time, the info showed is, in most cases, very enlightening

BTW Do you notice something "different" about the dial in my Top Time ?

Saludos

I think that this is a different place from a few months ago - you can safely place your Montbrillant and we can have an intelligent discussions without overly emotive postings now!

I didn't want to be rude with your first post, but the hands are wrong on your Top Time - they should be the squared end type and from memory the chrono seconds should be red.

The rest of it looks OK to me.

And welcome!

I think the hands on your Top Time are correct for an early to mid-1960s version of a Top Time long playing 810. I'm guessing the case is one of the one-piece versions. I also think those three-minute markers on the minute totalizer make your Top Time and early one.

And I do remember your Monbrillant. I had first thought it was incorrect, but on reflection and looking at other examples, I'm pretty sure it is all authentic. Wasn't it a 178 format chrono?

Didn't realise that early 810s had different hands -learn something new every day!

Thank all you guys for your warm welcome!! and my apology for the late response but I had a hard weekend

OK Mr Roffesian, I´m going to take new photos of my Montbrillant (with a venus 140) and I will open a new thread in the next days, it will be nice to hear the opinion of all you experts, particularly from Bill in Sacramento (THX BIll :D )

ahh :!: with respect to my TopTime (yes, you are righ :lingsrock: Venus 178 and a monoblock case), the "unusual " feature is that it bears a NOS "new dial" with is slightly different from the original one .

Saludos
Kingmatic

PS This same weekend my watch dealer send me for evaluation a Wakmann crono Valjoux 730 . Who knows, maybe could it be my third "Breitling" :P
