Need to check my references to be sure, but looks fine to me. Dates to 1946 and is a model 178. Obviously could use a little TLC, but a nice looking watch.

I had a very nice ref 178 with new crystal, an original almost perfect dial, and was freshly serviced. It sold for $750 about two years ago. The crystal is badly yellowed on this one and there's some disintigrating to the outer scale of the dial but it's still worth saving. The Venus 170 movement still is fairly easy to get parts for since they made so many.
