Lang and Meis, Chronograph Wristwatches: To Stop Time (Schiffer, 1993) shows an early Breitling on page 84 and identify the movement as a Lemania. That "check mark" shaped bridge is common to early Lemania and Minerva chronograph bridges. [The reference to the "lower dial" being marked should have been translated as the underside of the dial, but I think more correctly dial side of the movement." ![]()

I have that book and never noticed that It goes to show that large wristwatches are nothing new, although in the years after WWI the focus was on trying to reduce the size rather than the current trend. |

This one was posted recently on another site. Can anyone identify the movement. Is it a Lemania? http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread ... ost2718634 Attachment: homeimage1564151.jpg Attachment: homeimage1564161.jpg Attachment: homeimage1564166.jpg Attachment: homeimage1564171.jpg Attachment: homeimage1564181.jpg

Not sure what that is. It has some Lemania like qualities, but I think that the Lemania single pusher chronos had 17 jewels. |
