I'm in the process of reconstructing the history of Breitling from the start since 1840 on.

I found 2 different stop watches of the first Léon Breitling reference no. 1 from 1884-1892

One of them is signed with "L.Breitling" and "swiis patent no.3823

the other is signed with "MONTBRILLANT W My" "SWITZERLAND"

My question: does someone here know why is this difference and what is the reason.
