Hi I am looking for soem guidance on buying a watch seen on ebay. I prefer the look of the old stuff but don't really know what I am looking at so am a perfect candidate for being conned. Please have a look at the link below and let me know what you think, original / fake and how much would you bid? Thanks Steve http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Amazing-18k-gold- ... 2a0293e980 |

Welcome to BreitlingSource! Leave this watch alone. The Breitling engraving on the bridge is pretty amateur, and suggests that a no name movement has been put into a Breitling case and then had the bridge engraved to try and make it right. Additionally, Breitling gold cases didn't have double casebacks - the gold was thick enough that it only needed a single caseback. The dial looks like a redial, reasonable quality, but way too good a condition to be original and the crown and pushers look like rose gold vs. a yellow gold case. Keep posting pieces you find here and we'll set you right on finding a good'un! |
