Post subject:  Breitling Vintage Square Ebay Purchase

Hi, recently purchased this Breitling and I wondered if any members could help me with identification if possible?
I am aware of the dubious veracity of some watches out there but it was just so tempting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The day is in Spanish?

I'm not aware of a piece like this.

I don't see enough to make me think it's a recreation. The movement is the Felsa 4009 which is correct. The fact that it's a square case Breitling isn't wrong just rare. There were a few square cased models in both regular and chronographs but they're not often seen. I saw this auction when it came up and was looking at it. The serial number actually dates it to 1952. Breitling did make Spanish date versions for the Spanish speaking markets so that's not wrong either. Actually I have the same movement with Spanish date in a round cased version. This reference number doesn't come up in my book but it's not 100% complete. The only thing I would assume is that the dial has been redone.

Thank-you Paul. It struck me as such an attractive watch I could not resist it.
With a fair price to boot.
