OK, I'm re-posting this after originally putting it in the wrong forum (sorry, mods). I'm thinking about buying this one but want to know (i) if it's a fake, and if not (ii) model name, when produced, and anything else people know.

It doesn't look a lot like other Breitlings I have seen, which leads me to think (albeit with my very limited knowledge) that one or more of the below may apply:

1. it's a fake
2. it's old
3. it's a model that wasn't too popular and so was discontinued quickly

I have looked around the internet a fair bit but to no avail at all: I have not found anything that looks at all like this.

Does anyone have any ideas?

For me it looks as a genuine Breitling, but buy it in this state only with caution. The restoration can cost more than the clock is worth

I don't see anything worng with it, but would like to see caseback markings.

Craig (chronodeco) can give you a better idea of what it might cost to bring it back to its former glory.

I'd pass on it - looks a little fishy to me. Craig
