Looks okay to me... and it comes with a cool vintage box~! don't know if the box is matching though...

did boxes for these 70's chronos say Wakmann on them too?

I think it's a nice affordable price~

It has an authentic style NSA bracelet but not an original Breitling one. The box is a pocket watch box, I have one.

Watch looks good, I'll defer to Paul on the bracelet.

Price is OK, but don't forget that Old World has NOS for $1,295 (though not this colour combo anymore).

If I may... Old World Jewelers is a store out of Illinois that sells New Old Stock Breitlings... I believe they are a brick and mortar store as well as they have their own website too...

As far as the color combination, I've seen the ones from Old World but I don't like the color that they have...

well... it's OKAY... but I like this one better... but what can I do... don't have the money with one incoming right now... :(

In regards to the box, I assume the one for wristwatches would be the long and skinny ones then?

The ewatch Breitling's are great. I think some are really amazing value.

Just remember that they have sat unused for 30+ years
and you should factor in the cost of a service if you want to
wear it.

I have bought two and both were excellent.

I found them friendly and easy to talk to.
I assume if something was non-working they would
take it back in a heartbeat.

Hardly surprising that a watch that had sat unused for 30 years had aged gaskets and broken down oil - they do recommend a service and it is obviously a wise thing to do.

Their selection is rather limited now, but they had some great watches in their time.

The problem is, if the sealant has been dissolved and has bonded the whole movement.

But with this seller I had also very good experience. Special in Henry`s auctions I had the dissolved sealants.

ok, I literally wept at how awesome these watches are! AWESOME! I can't believe I never visited this website before. :(
Thank you for pointing me here
And simultaneously
Damn you for pushing me even further from EVER being out of debt.

Am I a bad person for falling in love with a Rolex because it looks just like a Speedmaster?? At least at $31K, I know I will never have it, but the Breitlings are all so close to my grasp...

This is the one watch I want more than any of the others, I love the Navi look with bi rather than tri compax! LOVE IT.

Till now I looked for vintage watches at this site: http://www.watchestobuy.com/index.htm
But have found my new Elysian Fields based on the endorsement of you guys above - thank you in all candidness!
This Forum rocks! (now imagine the little smily face with the guitar, and imagine how dumb I feel that I can't figure out how to get him into my post despite clicking on him a million times)...

I've checked out a lot of vintage looks from different watch companies before I started collecting, but in my humble opinion, the Breitling pieces are by far the most unique looking and have this certain vintage charisma that I really cannot describe... It almost feels like I'm wearing a piece of history with me everytime on my wrist... Pricewise, I also like to add that they are a bit underappreciated in my opinion and offer a lot of watch for the money... there are of course other watch companies that I also appreciate though... Like I said in another thread... I'll take all of them if need be... :D

You know that chronomatic is calling your name... but I'm sure you know by now, if you do buy a NOS from Old World, you can be guaranteed you'll get an authentic vintage Breitling... good luck~

and regards to your thoughts on this forum...

yea... this forum does suck... :lingsrock: :lingsrock: :lingsrock:

jlee5050 - I knew you would come around to my way of thinking!
I agree with all that you said. I think vintage Heuers have the same qualities you descibe (though less unique than Lings) but they are quite expensive compared to vintage Lings from what I see.

Roff - you did not ruine my life - nice watches from a certain neutral country with good skiing did that - you merely pushed me off my glideslope to recovery by leading me to that heinous website. Damn you man, you just gave (vintage) fire water to a recovering watchaholic!
You Sir, are a menace to society!
