A friend of mine has an 806 that he wants to sell me (and I would like to have) but it would require considerable cosmetic (dial/crystal) work and god knows what on the inside. Is this kind of thing best handled by BUSA (Wilton) or is a full restoration the kind of thing an outside watchmaker should do (and who might you suggest)?

I would say that you should contact chronodeco here at the forum. :)

Hi Piton,

Let me first intruduce myself. I am the Breitling's watchmaker, who has been sent from switzerland to the Bahamas to run the whole carribean after sale service.

For your watch, if nothing is messed up (dial, crystal and mechanism) and it just needs a complete overhaul, give it to Ernesto (BUSA).

If you need spare parts, send directly your watch to switzerland. And my friend, M.Girot, whose in charge of the vintage Breitling's watch after sale service, will take good care of it and find spare if available.

Hope you will find the spare parts and enjoy your watch,

K.
