Always seem to be posting horrible fakes so, for a change of pace, how about a nice, authentic, ref 1199 from 1959? This was probably about the last year of this model reference since they started around 1950. Looks like it just needs a little TLC.

A nice opportunity for someone to start a vintage Breitling collection at what will likely be an affordable price. I'm sure Craig can make it look like new and you'll have a great watch.

That bridge is correct Paul? Looks a bit new to me... but what do I know...

It's always about the bridges isn't it?

I think it's the flash - balance cock has a similar look.

Okay so I had it on "watch" (pun intended) until the last day and it was kind of odd that no one was bidding on it... indeed it is nice... and the first time I've seen a 50's chrono... of course already having the 50's NON-chrono, (hope the watch is okay though) I took the liberty of taking it off the buyer's hands...

gees... no one even put up a fight... which kinda makes me wonder... or should it make me worry... :poke:

Thanks for the recommendation though guys~! I'll post some pics when it arrives... most likely it's going to have to go to Craig but probably going to wait a just a bit before it goes off to him...

It's not a co-pilot or an 806, and it needs some TLC - so it didn't attract buyers.

I think you dropped lucky, nice pickup!

Don't think you could go wrong at that price. Nice catch.

roff... don't mention the co-pilot... I think I'm going off tangent in my collection... but don't get me wrong... I'll take all of them if need be... :D :lingsrock:

Co-pilot and a decent condition 806... the two most essential vintage Breitling pieces that a Breitling enthusiast needs and I have neither...

P.S. Oh and a 40's Premier... and maybe 2-3 more chronomatics... and a top time...

and then I promise I'll be good for awhile (fingers crossed of course)

jlee5050, with you looking for a co-pilot, and Paul selling a co-pilot there must be a deal to be done there!!!

Oh man... you are not helping at all...

besides... to drop north of minimum 3-4K right now is a lot of coin for me...business is slow right now and this obsession isn't helping at all... :D

Yay~! I got it today... requested priority mail for a few bucks more and got it today...

it looks actually nicer than in pictures... Would look great on a brown color band... maybe a lizard or a croc... functions good and chronograph ticks away... but still want to get it serviced... a good polishing and crystal replacement should also be in order...

I like how it's got the light shading on the subdials like the 70's sprints...

Thanks again to Paul for the recommendation~!
