so on my daily perusing on ebay, I stumble upon this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-BREITLING-C ... 286.c0.m14

So... first question:

1) square subdials... were there such a thing?
2) subdial hands... original?
3) minute hands... original?
4) CALIBRE 12????

looks very unique... very different from typical c-matics I've seen...

I hate trying to figure out whether 2110s are correct or not. This was the model that had all of the typical early 70s 'bizarre' dials, so tough to say for sure. There definitely were square sub variants, and this could be accurate - although usually the markers on the square ones are like the 3 o'clock rather than the 9 o'clock.

The movement looks fine, but the warning for me is that the serial number on the case dates to 1969, and that implies an 11, not a 12.

I think that this is a frankenwatch, not sure if the dial is one of the 2110 variants or not - it's not one that I'm familiar with.

Later style non-2110 dial and probably the wrong movement. There have been a lot of bare 2110 cases on ebay over the years so it's pretty easy to put one of these together. Notice how the bezel looks very new as the red pointer usually fades over the years.
