I deleted the duplicate thread in the Help section. Can you provide the numbers from the back - can't read them in the photo. Also, if it's possible to have a movement picture that would also help. |

763941 / 1191 could be (753941) but i think its 763941. Movement picture attached, I didnt realise the back would come off, no markings on inside of back plate, ticking away nicely inside |

OK. Serial number dates it to 1950, not 1951. Model 1191 was a two sub chronograph with subs at 9 and 3 powered by the Venus 188 movement - and that's what you have here. Looks like the bridge is unsigned, which is possible for a piece of this age, so I don't see any obvious problems with it. I would put a value at the high end of Bonhams range, but I wouldn't go above that in this condition - it needs a service and a clean and that needs to be factored into the price. |

I am very grateful for your analysis. When I first saw it I could see it required some restoration but when cleaned up I expect it will be a tidy little piece. Now I can offer my sister some insight and decide what to do from there. As you can see this is a very 'green' area for me and not really sure what the next step is.. Once again many thanks.. |

There is a member on here (chronodeco) who can help you with a restoration. He is in the US, but does an exceptional job and has very reasonable prices. |
