Hi All, The infamous question from a newbie...
Year and Value?

Assuming it works and the movement is accurate what its year and ballpark value. It does have those odd hands that are not a striaght taper. I will try to get a pic up, but the bloody camera cant focus on it. Black Face not white, I don't have a clue if the band is original. Back has 582220 and 769 whic I am learning is serial # and model. Any ideas? I'd like insurance estiamate and todays market estimate. Thanks in advance, I did read all 8 pages looking for a clone to mine but could not find one. Thanks!

For simplicty sake, it looks just like the one in the ad in middle of article, right above statement that reads :
"Detail from the 1947 advertisement. Hour and minute hands of this shape are rarer than other designs."

Welcome to BreitlingSource!

My favourite question - please value my watch without seeing it :?

Let's start with the easy stuff. Serial number dates it to 1945.

In terms of value, IF it's 100% original and IF it's running with a recent service and IF it's in good condition then it could be worth arounf $3,000

That's not a valuation of your watch - can't do that sight unseen.

Thanks very much, I was hoping for the info you provided. I now know the year and that I need to get it looked at to ensure its originality and function. You answered my question to a "T", thanks very much.
