Guys, I'm new to vintage watches but like things second hand as usually they have more character. I've been searching for a '60's vintage Breitling for several months and have been reading the sites about various watches and was delighted when i found this site ![]() I know the Navitimer is a signature watch but i quiet like the Chronomats. Does anyone have experience of them, can point me to threads on the subject or buying experiences from Chronomaster in Bolton? Thanks for any help james33 |

James, saw this post and the one in the introductions section. Your best bet for info on the 50s / 60s era are Joseph and Vintage (Paul). They're both around here fairly regularly so you should hear soon or PM them. You may also want to try and get hold of a copy of Benno Richter's book - you can get it on the Bay or Amazon - Overstock has the best price, but won't ship outside US - that's the 'bible' for older Breitlings and has just been republished with updated values. Sorry, can't help you on the Bolton store. |

The NOS watches at Old World are impressive - it was an even more impressive selection a few years ago - the story behind them is pretty amazing too - how they got hold of virtually all of the stock at the time of the bankruptcy / buyout. |

What a Bobby Dazzler ![]() Thanks to Joe for pointing me to it If you're looking for an 80s Chronomat I think I would go for the 7808 that Old World has rather than the 8808 ($300 less too!!) http://www.ewatchshow.com/view/watch/3_ ... omat-78083 |
