Photos aren't great, but the watch doesn't actually look too bad from the front (although I don't like the arrow heads). The crown doesn't look like it fits the watch, but it is similar to some of the diving watches. The hands are also consistent. However, I agree with you that the wording and design of the caseback are inconsistent with Breitling. The logo doesn't look too bad, but the photo doesn't really allow for an objective opinion.

Can't tell too much about the movement, the rotor could be right, but the identifiable parts of the movement are covered. The biggest problem for me is the serial number - as a non chrono this serial dates it to 1951, and that's very early for this type of watch. I can't find anything similar in any early 50s documentation.

I think it's a frankenwatch, but with some genune Breitling bits.
