I'm uncertain whether to place this in the vintage or replica forum.
I looked in my references and didn't find anything remotely similar so I am assuming fake.
But - if it's not I want two of them. I think this is kind of cool.

Well, now that one is intriguing.

I was all set to yell about it being a hideous fake, and then I saw the seller. It's the same guy as the Breitling Museum guy, and this surprises me. He has some very iffy refinishes / redials, but this is the first time that I have ever known him to sell an out and out fake.

Probably started life as a Top Time or similar.

He's a member here, interested to see if he tries to defend this POS.

I don't know if (in my limited experience) I have ever seen a Breitling with a 7730 series movement with an unsigned bridge. Many from earlier watches but that seems awfully late not to be signed. No WOG either.

It's either been shaved to remove the wrong brand or it's a no name bridge (or entire movement).

I really am surprised by this one - I know that Craig (chronodeco) has identified a lot of problems with this guy's watches around refinishing / redialling, but this is way beyond that.

Ran the auction write up through the translator and came up with this.

"Mervos was exactly like Wakmann a clock company, which sold Breitlinguhren on American, particularly the South American market, therefore the Spanish name designation. This clock of the famous Valjoux of 7733 calibers is propelled. Quadro - the quantum transition in the clock Design: The result is an optically salient work of art and a cerebrally suggesting exclusive Breitling - Chronograph. Iin of this square shape of the housing represents the Chronograph Cuadrigraf a completely large Breitling rare piece. Only us so far genuine Breitlinguhr in this shape of the housing bekante. Chronographen always " with Breitling; first Geige" played and also rightfully. Already very early, into the 30igern one began with Breitling with the development and production of Chronographen. Mistakes with the most different dials serve Chronographen also the most different tasks. "

And a different translation:

"Mervos was exactly how Wakmann a watch company, which Breitlinguhren in the Americas, especially the South American market, therefore, the Spanish name designation. This clock is powered by the famous Valjoux 7733 caliber.

Quadro - the quantum leap in watch design: the result is a visually striking artwork and a stimulating cerebral exclusive Breitling - Chronograph. Iin this square shape is the chronograph Cuadrigraf a very great rarity Breitling-dar. us so far, the only known real Breitlinguhr in this form of housing.

Breitling chronographs have always been the "first violin" played well and rightly so. Very early in the 30igern Breitling began with the development and production of chronographs. Equipped with a variety of chronograph dials are also a variety of tasks."

Don't know if that helps at all. It certainly doesn't help me. :?

I have never seen anything like this... Breitling or some other brand. I do know that all of the 7733/4/6 movement bridges (and inside the backs) that I have seen were signed Breitling Watch Ltd. This bridge appears to be an unshaved original unsigned bridge. However, having no prior knowledge of this case design, I would have to leave it up to someone else to pass final judgement on this one. I would not buy it regardless. Craig

Much appreciated Craig. I was really intrigued by the design and thought if it was at all possible that it could be authentic I might consider bidding/buying. But I think you guys have appropriately disuaded me.

Thank you.

Interesting - the original auction on this was terminated.
There is a new one now using the exact same pics as the original here.

This time, instead of Germany the seller is in the U.S.

It's still garbage - maybe he bought it and is trying to sell - stupid price and now ended with no bids.

Give it long enough and someone will be stupid enough to buy it.
