a bit too much, though I believe the 178s are even rarer than the 184s (not that I'd mind one), only the second piece I saw coming up for sale during the last years. on the way to the Spa. hate the fact that Bill noticed it too, could have been a bargain ;)

I think that you are right about the tri-compax being rarer, but a moonphase Chronomat would be a wonderful addition to any collection.

Fred I'm embarrassed to say I never caught that this was a three register even though I was the high bidder most of the week. I was thinking normal two register with my bid level. I didn't even catch it after the auction ended and I was wondering why it sold for so much. Getting old is a pain (in more than one way) so I'll have to be more observant in the future. :cry:
