Timestore, at least you now know where to visit if you have questions about vintage Breitling's.

Yeah, and I highly recommend that you come here if you get a Breitling in future. Regardless of who 'created' this watch it fails the most basic of tests for being genuine. Ignore the movement - I'll assume that it's a single pusher variant, and it could be a Breitling (or not), but the serial number and dial are clearly inconsistent and the engraving on the caseback can be identified as non Breitling by anyone with the most basic knowledge.

If you don't know whether you have the real thing or not then don't put it on eBay as the real thing - as I said earlier it is misrepresentation at best. I'm sorry, but if you can't tell that this is wrong then you shouldn't be selling Breitlings.

Ok, thanks for clarify
I understand that you say that all is bad with the case back ( number & engraving ) perhaps was replaced time ago like the restoration dial, i really really do not know.
But I do not understand when you say "ignore the movement" that means that the movement do not have importance to identify or know more about the watch? ( I was believe that the movement was an important part, )
Thanks again

No, I am saying that the movement is not an obvious problem with the watch.

You can't call that a restored dial - it's a different dial. That dial did not start life on a watch from the 30s, it's just wrong, even you admit that. There is no evidence that this watch started life as a Breitling, in fact all of the evidence suggests that a Venus movement with a Breitling bridge was put into a non Breitling case which was then faked and given a dial that has nothing to do with the watch (and looks virtually brand new).

That makes it a frankenwatch, not a Breitling. I admire your defence of your sales, but no one here believes that is a Breitling.

This was a fun thread to read after it was mostly beat to death. There a SO many things wrong with this chrono its just a BIG LOL. You are lucky you can get a refund.
If anyone thinks they have a REAL vintage Breitling from S. America, lets see it!
