Lovely job Craig.

Great catch Paul. A very rare toptime.

Given your grail in the other post, do you have any other 24 hour watches?

The funny thing is I don't even like to wear 24hr watches even after being in the military for 24 years. They're just hard to get the time from quickly with just a glance. Takes getting used to I suppose. I always found a digital watch best to get the time from quickly. I had an original Glycine SST once owned by a SR71 pilot that was a really nice watch but not something I cared to wear often. It's just a collectability thing for me.

I know what you mean. I love the look of them but never quite been felt the need to own one. The only one that I would be cleaning out the piggy bank to own (besides Carpenters) would be an 1st gen all black Cosmo.

BTW - I was looking to have a strap made like the bund you had made by Banda. How do you go about ordering something like that?

With Banda you just contact them from their site (Banda.com) and tell them what you want. I had them make me up some original style Navitimer 806 straps a few years ago in 22x16mm which is an odd strap size to find. They did an excellent job and I had them from Hong Kong about a month after ordering.

Well, I do have a lot of other things that I do but since I retired a year and a half ago but my watch hobby became a full time job for the most part. I have a steady stream of watch repairs and restorations from all over the world. Trust me, I am very thankful for all of this. I can't imagine retirement without a meaningful way to spend ones time.
Thanks to all of you who have supported me, Craig
Other hobbies - flying a 1976 Piper Warrior, collecting wine for the wine cellar, consulting metallurgical work in aluminum.

Nothing like retiring, enjoying what you do and still making some dough on the side...

with all due respect from a youngin, very admirable sir~

one more note, sorry I'm lagging with my repair... hadn't had a chance to send it in yet...
