Wow. Thanks for the info guys! Learned something today, every day should be like that... :) And I apologize to the owner for calling it a fake, but then again, judging those old Navitimers are pretty hard.

Here's another dial from a different Navitimer 806 (1.3 mil serial) that is virtually identical to the dial in question in the original post, with subdials that go into and over the minute ring. I think it's pretty clear that this is indeed an authentic Breitling service dial and not a fake. I always find it interesting how quick and confidently some are to label a watch/dial as a fake when evidence shows that it's really not. I have no dog in this fight and don't own either watch, but I did spend weeks poring over hundreds of Navitimer 806 dials. Curious to hear anyone else's informed opinions.

The overall consensus was that the first dial posted was a Breitling service dial

806er: forget this watch
Spacecowboy: fake [edit: note this comment was withdrawn]
Kurt: service dial
Watchfred: service dial
Dracha: service dial

nobody is infallible and remember with regards to these vintage watches everyone is trying to decipher what is right and what is not with little information. When asking for advice.. Take the replies that come with a grain of salt, as individual answers are one persons opinion

If everyone had all the answers these forums wouldn't exist.

the "fake" comment was withdrawn (with an apology)
so 1 "forget", 3 "service dial" (w/ imperfect production QC for me)

i think you didn't check the picture really

or you like to see something that doesn't existe.

most 10 dollar watches shows more symmetrie/balance
on the dial.

Don't know, what more to say.

Stephan

Well, I'd be interested to hear again from Stephan. But it's all good. It can be very difficult to determine dials' history, real, fake, service dial, etc ...

Just as a matter of interest, I came across this watch being offered at an auction house, same subdial layout and the disputed on in this original post. Service dial still an option of course, but now a third example of this version.

double plane dial with a rice bead bezel case ???

*if* it started its live with a reverse panda dial it would have had an applied AOPA wing , not the double wing

Sorry to revive an old topic. Came across a LIP styled one today.
