Here is a link to a video by Mark Lovick (top chap) featuring a strip down and reassembly of a Venus 178 (not complete yet).

Having been a bit of a tinkerer for the last 2/3yrs I have taught myself to be able to strip down and clean a couple of Seiko movements and ETA 2824's.

I naively thought that a v178 would surely not be too much more difficult. Well how wrong can you be, having watched this a couple of times now I quickly realised that this is way beyond my skill set. The sheer engineering of the movement is astonishing and I take my hat to all of you that can achieve a service on these

Hope the link works enjoy chaps
