The Breitling Watch Source Forums

This one brought me actually to vintage and then in consequence to Fred, to whom I showed it in my first attempt to find out more about Breitling.
Posted these mobile pics some time ago on WUS, but when I made them, I had not the faintest idea, that such fora even existed or that I ever would join one, hmm......

The good thing is, that this 809 is in almost untouched condition, the bad thing is, it is not mine




It is the heirloom of a good old friend of mine. His uncle had bought it 1968 in Geneve and after having passed away only one year later, this beauty was not worn anymore, but put with papers, manual and even with the original lizard strap in its original box and ........ is still sitting there!












I, as a complete newbie, was very surprised, when Fred opened it with a knife within a second, and made a quick shot for me.




Before my friend had asked me, to find out more about his family piece, I knew only the contemporary Breitlings, but this one felt totally different on my wrist.
