Hi all, my hubby has a vintage Breitling watch that he was given as a child but we have no idea of the model, age, history etc. The face is a bronze colour with 12 9 6 and 3, where all the other numbers should be are just lines. It also has a smaller second dial at the bottom. On the back is FOND AGIER INOXYDABLE 351187 156. Think it is just chrome. Any response would be greatly received. Thanks :)

well, I can't really tell you too much - 156 is the model reference, serial no. 35x,xxx indicates the watch case was produced in 1945. hope this helps a bit ?

I guess a few pictures would probably help the vintage guys a bit here.

And the writing on the back is fond acier inoxydable, French for stainless steel.

Here is the 7156 (catalog lists with a 7 in front of the 156) from 1946. It's also listed as a central second in the book but might have still been the small second in 1945. There were small differences between dials within the same model number but usually the cases are very similar.

Thanks for the info guys, the watch itself isn't in the best condition but keeps perfect time. It doesn't look like the one in the photo as it has a small dial bit at the bottom for the seconds. Any one know what the value of it might be?

Condition is everything. Can't really give an accurate value without seeing it. Usually these sell in the $100 - $350 range.
