Hi, just wondering if you use your sliderule on your vintage Navitimers currently for it's intended use or some other everyday use? Also was the reading always in miles (MPH) rather than kms(KPH maybe?), did they have KPH on the dial for non US markets? If not, how would European pilots use it?
EDIT: I just noticed a small "km" on the outer dial, confused now:), so how does one switch between the two?

Full instructions on the sliderule are here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles ... rule.shtml

I'll use mine occasionally, there are several similar threads in the main Breitling forum related to modern Navitimers.

crovon, you can use this for miles, kilometers, fathoms, yards, feet, whatever distance you walk, run, swim, drive or fly in a specific time frame, the sliderule does not have to be switched.

Thanks Roffensian and WatchFred, that's very interesting info.

@Roffensian: What do you use your sliderule for?

Currency conversions are fairly common for me.

Cool, am assuming using the multiply and divide functionality? but that doesn't help with numbers having decimals right? For example if 1USD = 1.02AUD, if was to calculate how much 200AUD is than could I still use it? Or even for 20.155 multiplied by 105.65... or is it only for non decimals?
