This was something discussed here a while ago, Jeff Stein with the help of members of PuristsPro have come up with an answer.
It's a nice tale of vintage detective work.

That should lay to rest Roff's concerns about having both on the dial. Good info.

Interesting... so would it be safe to assume that any piece and not just limited to Heuer that have Fab Suisse on the dial was intended for the French market?

thats how I read it as well.. but wouldnt it be easier to apply 'Fab Suisse' to all dials ? , just like UL and CE labels today which are applied to everything coming out of the factory , not just to machines designated for US or EU ?
