I'm trying to id this breitling. I've attached pictures of the front and back - if I remove the rear cover there are no markings. Rear markings look like side portrait, plus 18K / 0.750, 147, with 80 stamped at the bottom.

any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Kram

I need to check the books, but I am sceptical. The markings on the back are not consistent with Breitling markings, although it is correct markings for a gold case watch.

I also don't think that the dial is original, so I'm not convinced that it's a Breitling. Are there any markings on the movement (or do you have photos).

I suspect a redial too... might be a copy of a ref. 178 with the venus 170 movement...

That's definitive proof that it's not a Breitling.

If it has a double caseback it's because the gold is thin and a second caseback is needed to protect the movement. Breitling never used double casebacks on their gold watches because their gold cases were thick enough to not need it.

Sorry.
