I know there have been polls for members ages and we have talked informally about engagements and marriages but I wanted to see what the overall makeup of the Breitling community was as far as marital staus. I know from previous polls that the geographic makeup of this site is males from 20 40 years old for the most part. So I wouldn't expect this poll to lean heavily in favor of the later selections in the list but I thought it would be interesting.

I tried to include all the selections that I could but I realize there could be other choices available.

Thanks for your participation!

Elwyn

Will be 2 years in October. Was married for 6 years in another life. This time around is INFINITELY better. I am a lucky man!

Same here. Eighteen the first time. Now going on three for the second. Found the love of my life this time though.
The strange thing - I worked side by side with her for four years and never realized love was standing right by my side. It wasn't until we started seriously talking that we realized that love had probably been smoldering all that time.

Life - weird huh?

Interesting topic. 1st and only marriage. Like Roff, our 12 year wedding anniversary is also next month! (May 30th, to be exact)

Am considering giving the two of us matching Breitlings for our 12 year anniversary.

And by the way, about 8 hours ago we had out 2nd child, both girls. :D

Have a freind who does a lot of family counseling and has invented what he calls the "Rule of 25". Basically states that the average person that he has encountered in his counselling practice and in general observation and relying on statistics really isn't ready to get married financially, emotionally, etc until the age of 25.

Here's an interesting fact. In 1945 ~21% of people were married by the time they were 20 years old. Currently (as of 2004 statistics) individuals comprising the up to 20 year old group only make up ~7% of first marriages.
You are in the majority my friend! :D
