Ok, so what are they actually like to write with, i'm thinking of quality relative to a mont blanc, as this is my usual choice! Rollerball only, never been a fountain pen kinda guy

They're OK to write with, but not Mont Blanc quality. I have a Starwalker and it's superb IMHO. I guess a lot depends on the refill you use in the Breitling pens as they are quite comfortable to hold and write with.

To be honest the Breitling pens (while being nice enough) wouldn't be worth much if it wasn't for the Breitling branding on them. At the end of the day they are freebies that Breitlng gives away, so while they are of decent enough quality, they are more of a novelty than a top class writing instrument.

Mnt Blanc rules on the pen front!

Agree regarding Mont Blanc.

I never really understood why Breitling don't use better quality pens for their freebies. The ties (admittedly in smaller quantities) are Hermes and are beautiful, but the pens are just so so to me. Maybe Breitling see them just as collectibles rather than functional, but it seems a little odd to me considering that they want to portray the high quality image.

Driver8, you've confirmed what I suspected and Roff, I agree with you completely, at least Cartier pens can hold their own, albeit still not as nice as mont blanc, I think i'll stick with the devil I know. Cheers guys!
