Now we all share the same love of watches and we have touched on what clothes we wear and even the cigars we like what about alcohol? Or if you dont drink you can tell us that too I respect that fully. Me? Im a Macallan Scotch man (on rocks or neat) even at the age of 21 and I also just got turned on to Stolichnaya (on the rocks also). Let me know what you guys like, Im always looking for new things to drink.

Im a sucker for spirits. Whiskey like, Jameson, Jack Daniels and Famous Grouse. Any good cognac goes down like water. My favorite long drink is Mojito ! And of course a nice cold beer in between :D

I enjoy and somewhat collect whisky and cognac. Favorite whisky would be a 20 year old Ledaig (pronounced lii-tchack) and favorite cognac a bottle of Gronstedts XO.

As a long drink, it would be "Your friend in the mist" - contains equal parts of vodka, white rum, kahlua, baileys and cointreau. Add ice and stir. Done.

I drink very seasonally.

In the Spring/Summmer: Lots of Gin and Vodka, usually on the rocks, with tonic, or with soda, always with a lemon, Pinot Noirs, White Whine (Sav Blanc, Pinot Grigio), Wheat Beers (Boulevard out of KC preferably), Prosecco (see Italian Champagne).

In the Fall/Winter: Lots of big red wines, Cab, Syrah, Merlot. Focus on California and Italy. Guinness. Scotch (Oban 14 is my fav). Whiskey.

Never: Rum. Just cannot stand the stuff. The smell, especially the smell of the spiced stuff, makes me sick to my stomach. Worked at a bar during college @ KU and really was always bothered by the stickiness of sweet spiritis (See spiced rum), so now and really turned off by them.

Homage to Dad/Grandpa: Campari and Soda, add an orange wedge. Really a unique flavor for Campari. Tastes great, especially on a hot summer day before a nice dinner. Best advertisements ever. Works of art.

Favorite Brands (booze): Three Olive Vodka, Bombay Saphire Gin, Oban Scotch, Woodford Reserve Whisky

Favorite Brands (wine): ZD Cab and Pinot, Cakebread Cab and Sav Blanc, Parsonage (small Carmel Cali winery, please try) Syrah and Pinot, Kim Crawford Sav Blanc (bargain), Twomey Merlot, Swanson Merlot, Futo Estate Cab (family friends, cult Cali Cab, glad I do not have to buy, special occassion only), Penfolds (from top to bottom, they grow a good product).

There are many others, especially wine, but do not want to list them all. We found a great wine shop in Carmel, California that is owned and ran by a fellow that used to be the head sommelier @ Pebble Beach. Specializes in California wines under $30 bucks a bottle, many around $12 from smaller producers. We have found some really good wines that are a bargain.

I was about to start his thread last night, glad someone else did.

Generally it's proper english ales for me. Fullers is my favourite major brewer - London Pride, Honeydew, 1845, and Vintage Ale (if you can get it) are all year round beers. ESB, and Jack Frost are great winter ales. London Porter is a good stout substitute, and Discovery is the greatest summer beer EVER!

I also like more obscure ales from lesser known breweries - Dark Island from the Orkney Brewery in Scotland is fantastic, but beers like that are only available in "proper" pubs (none of this Wetherspoons rubbish!) and only in small numbers.

I also drink quite a lot of wine, but only at home or with a meal when eating out - mainly big reds but a nice Pinot Grigio will always go down well with fish or pasta...... or a BBQ in the summer.

I don't tend to drink much in the way of spirits, but when I do it's GOT to be Bulleit bourbon - such a great smokey aftertaste! I'm also partial to putting a few Sambuccas away late in the evening too!

Like Driver8 I have a preference for proper English ales over lager type beer although I do like some American beers like MGD, my particular favourite tipple at the moment is an English cloudy cider called 'Old Rosie' it comes in 660ml bottles and at about 7.4 percent has a rather pleasing effect! Roll on tonight!

I'm not really a spirit person, I like dark Rum and JD, that's about it really, oh yeah, and Erdinger Weiss Bier from Germany!!

Well, I've had a few of the upper end vodkas they only sell internally in Russia - they beat the crap out of every other vodka I've ever had. If you get the chance to try some, please do (if you haven't already and in that case I really must try to get Hangar One).

Southern Comfort & Coke for a relaxing after work drink.
Ice cold Sauvignon Blanc or a smooth Merlot for dinner
Freezing cold Aussie beer (but will settle for Stella Artois or Corona) when hot...

I'm a beer fan most of the time - miss the real ale days of living in the UK. There are only limited British ales available over here - Old Speckled Hen, Boddingtons in a couple of places - haven't found anyone that does Ruddles County which was a favourite back in the day.

I'm into Canadian craft brewers at the moment - Mill Street make a great Tankhouse Ale and a Coffee Porter.

I also drink quite a lot of wine - prefer red, but happy with whites as well - a lot of Ontario wines from Niagara.

Don't drink much in the way of spirits although do tend to keep a bottle of Glenmorangie around.

I had a friend bring me back a bottle from Russia on a trip there, but I havent opened it. Its kind of one of those ones you just keep and never do anything with I guess lol.. maybe ill have to crack it open.

Hangar One is made in an old airplane hangar in San Francisco.... its really, really smooth. Definitely try and find a bottle of it if you can.

Give Don Julio Silver a try if you enjoy Patron....... I typically enjoy regular Crown Royal or Belvedere/Grey Goose Vodka for cocktails.
