Post subject: | Tactical flashlights |
I know that there are some law enforcement people / tactical gadget guys here, so maybe I'm the only person who didn't know this, but..... I've been looking into getting a decent, small, flashlight. I live in the middle of nowhere and when it gets dark, well - it's dark and with a bunch of sled dogs and a lot of wildlife I need to be able to see when I'm outside. I recently discovered the world of tactical flashlights and I am amazed that I didn't know that products this good were on the market. I bought myself an Olight M20 Tactical Premium and the light provided by the LCD buld is just incredible. Sure these things are more expensive than a regular flashlight, and they need specialty batteries, but I picked up a light, couple of rechargeable batteries and charger for only around $150 and this thing has quickly become indispensible - it's like daylight but it fits in my pocket. Anyone else discovered these things? |

I picked up a coast to use with my halloween costume. But I can't really say I am into flashlights, just needed something authentic to work with the rest of my costume which was pretty much 100% ![]() |

Roff, The flashlight you picked up is a great little flashlight for the money. Anyone looking to pick up tactical flashlights remember when a company has TACTICAL on the name you will pay more even if the light is really nothing special. Police items always run more because cops always think "more means better" and Police departments that have swat/rapid responce teams seem to have good budgets to buy guys goodies There are some really great ones out on the market and here listed is a couple that the tactical team that I'm on has had very good success with. As one of our hand helds we use lights from G & P flashlights. They take a beating and the cost is very good on them. Also we use on our tactical vests and mount on our helmets a great multi light from Steamlight called the "sidewinder". This flashlight has a main light and three colored lights on it or two colored lights and one I R light for night vision. These run only $50.00 each and really are life savers. I hope this information helped. ![]() |
