Hello All,
I love being a member on this forum.... I have been banned from many forums for my unique sense of humor. Thankfully I am appreciated here.

I have a few posting ideas I want to check with you guys first to see if they would be appreciated here (or are they best left off).

1) Archie's entire luxury collection - Watches, clocks, diamonds, louis vuitton - Basically 4 photos with everything in 1 photo ie watch photo with all Archie timepieces included.

2) Archie on investigation - Archie visits a few 2nd hand dealers to see what Archie can get for his watches. A few home truths and 2nd hand dealer lies! See how little Archie can get for the watches!

3) Mrs Archie - What does the present Mrs Archie (Archie has been married 3 times - and a few mistresses along the way) wear?

4) Archie and the tax office - antics about taxation and avoiding being taken.

5) Archie and the forums he has been banned on.... a full list.

1) no
2) no
3) no
4) no
5) no

EXCEPT if you choose to post any of those topics IN THE CORRECT SECTION(ie off subject)

Even this thread shouldnt be in this section.

This thread has NOTHING to do with Breitlings and this section is titled Breitling Discussion. Now I am not interested, in the slightest with your other hobbies, but I guess someone else might be. And since this is primarily a Breitling and WATCH type fourm, I personally do not engage in talk of other things.

Archie, you have quickly illustrated that your personallity irritates a lot of people quickly. Maybe its your over zeallous posting numbers bordering on thread spam or the fact that you insist on refering to yourself in the third person (very tedious to read that Archie this or Archie that, in Archies threads) or that you dont really come off as a Breitling lover. You are posting messages argueing that you think Omega is better and such. Did you get canned from the Omega forum or something and ours is your last hope?

Just calm down and stop trying to overdo everything. Understand that our primary purpose on this forum is to meet with other BREITLING lovers not to discuss what our wives wear when we go out.

That sounds possibly interesting, but I have a feeling you will find some way to make it offensive ;) . The other items have very little to do with watches. Remember archie this is a BREITLING forum. Please keep your posts about watches when you are posting in this forum. If its about other watches, post it in the General watch forum. If it's about Taxes, you should probably go to a Tax forum.

Having said that.. this post has nothing to do with Breitling Watches, so i am moving it to the Off-Topic section.

Funny, I don't. I know this is playing into your hand but no one really seems to care that you don't add any truth to the world. I'm having fun with it, but I bet half if not most of your crap is just that.

I have a bridge, I'll post a pic of it. We can auction it off, you give me a hondo and I'll split the profits with you.

actually could be interesting, but why not just do it and then report. Problem is, it'll be a load...again.

You should be proud. you can't keep a relationship going in real life or in forums about watches.

Great, let's figure out how we can all break the law...legally of course.

We probably don't have enough server space for that one. you should add another notch on your belt. Hiromi?

Hiromi was the name I was using when I was going through the imperial japanese phase......

Unfortunately using a Japanese sounding name did not stop me being banned on a string of 2nd rate forums.

The world has no respect for the Imperial Japanese anyhow.

I try whereever possible not to post to your threads Archie because I really am not sure that there is any value that I can possibly add and it sometimes feels like poking a bear, but....

I would say that numbers 3 through 5 in your style would have very great difficulty staying within the bounds of a family forum, so let's leave those out.

Number one is likely to come across as showing off if you aren't careful (and let's be honest - you aren't careful) so that's a no-no as well.

The second may be interesting as others have said, but I would find it much more interesting as a professional, articulate objective review rather a subjective, opinion based piece - the latter would also likely run into trouble with the family oriented theme.

Archie sure does get a rise out of some of us  . He is certainly a unique individual, that is for damn sure.

Here is my perspective (for what it is worth):

1.) This is a forum, where the majority of content is opinion based. Most of us are civil about it, and we have been non-judgmental, accepting the likes and dislikes of others. Archie has presented some controversial topics/opinions, but I have not seen anything where we should question his right to post. I do not think that pissing people off should be "bannable, even if you have that skill down to an art form.

2.) Archie obviously likes to push people’s buttons and he loves it when he gets a response. I suggest that the best way to deal with this is not to post to his threads. If ignored enough, people like this will often go away.

There is my 2 cents.

That's probably because Admin, Roff and I have moderated the more offending ones in the past before they received much "air-time".

Yes I agree that just being controversial is not a reason to ban someone..... hence why Admin has not banned Archie.

As we've always said, as long as people respect that this is a family-friendly place, there's no problem. Sure, some people get some kind of strange kick out of being inflamatory and I guess Archie is one them - entirely up to him at the end of the day. And as you rightly said, if people get irritated by the opinions of others, the best way to deal with it is not to respond to their posts.

And of course if anything posted by anyone on here IS offensive and not appropriate for a family-friendly site, just let Admin, Roff or I know and we'll moderate it accordingly if needs be. And if warnings to the offending poster are ignored, then Admin will impose a ban.
