Gas prices continue to drop. What was costing my truck $130 to fill a few months ago is now costing me $51

I use 91 octane only but have seen $1.69 a gallon for regular out here already. Looking on gasbuddy I can see that some places in the US have gas prices as cheap as $1.42 a gallon! wow!

I saw $1.34 earlier today! Makes a change from the $5.31 I paid in Alaska a few months ago!

Personally I'd rather be in $4/gallon territory and watch my investment values soar...since it appears you have to live with one or the other!

There's never a good time to get one of those heaps of junk.

I've been considering upgrading my Mercedes to one that's bigger and faster than my current one....If you're in the market for a big, luxury car there are some cracking prices to be had, new and old!

$1.34 is insane!

We are down to $1.61 here in SoCal for regular, though my truck requires min 89 octane, I always go with the 91 for peace of mind. The $0.10 difference makes it worth the extra few hp ;)

You State-side guys don't know you're born when it comes to fuel prices!

$1.34 a gallon...... that's $0.29 a litre...... or at current exchange rates £0.20 a litre!!

Even at $1.69, that's $0.37 a litre (or £0.25 in the UK)

I was chuffed to pay £0.89 a litre the other day. :?

Damn that's cheap! What's with the low octane ratings you guys get though? :poke:

I use 98, which at the moment is about $A1.20 a litre. It was $A1.70 not long ago.

A US gallon is 0.83 imperial gallons so it is a little more than that. Not a huge amount obviously.

Not looking forward to driving my father's Audi A8 and paying to fill that up when I come over next week. Although with the price of petrol the way it is and the favourable exchange rate I'm not as bad off as I was on my July visit.

..............and don't forget us Brits have to pay the equivalent of $5.76 (@ £1.029 per litre) for a US gallon of diesel which in UK gallons my Chrysler 300C guzzles $6.93 for every 35 miles! (could be worse could have been an SRT8!)
