Just wondered if anyone could recommend some interesting bars/clubs/restaurants/things to do in NYC. First time to the big Apple this week, and spending about a week there. Obviously watch related stuff is also appreciated- markets/vintage shops etc, but any cool places off the tourist route frequented by real new yorkers would be great. With out a doubt you have to take in "Smoke" jazz and supper club. Super small and intimate. Food is darn good...but nothing over the top for NYC, still worth doing dinner and a set. They typically have two or three seatings. http://smokejazz.com/ |

To do the NYC highlights will take you a looooong time. For a change of pace, pick a nice day and walk The Highline. http://www.thehighline.org/about/park-information Desert Hiker |
