You may have read about Bertrand Piccard and his Solar Impulse airplane. He is about to start a non stop flight around the world, driven by nothing else than solar power. About 15 years ago Piccard already flew around the world in a balloon, the Breitling Orbiter. Too bad that now there is an Omega logo on the Solar Impulse... I wonder what watch Piccard will wear when taking off. ![]() |

Omega released a titanium solar impulse watch with a carbon fiber face a few years back. I don't think it was a very good seller because I still see them at dealers years after their release. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk |

I wasn't aware of Omegas Solar Impulse watch. No wonder it's not a top seller, the checked pattern on the dial looks ugly. |
