Possibly. That whole thing is probably taken out of context, what is irrational behavior to some people or cultures is rational behavior to others. But yeah, threat to human life was my initial thought. |

You're joking, of course! Somebody should drop her out of a helicopter and take a few pot shots at her, see how she likes it! I knew she was a blithering idiot just listening to her. But I had no idea she was such a cold-hearted bitch, as well! Thank you, Mario for posting that film clip, as disturbibg as it is. It's given me the motivation to get off of my lazy ass and get out there and do whatever I can to see that she and that walking mummy she's running with don't get anywhere the White House!! Steve |

![]() Yeah, I think I caught part of it. She speaks in tongues, doesn't she? Maybe if she did that during her speeches, she would make more sense! ![]() Steve ps -- Did you catch Tina Fey's turn on her on SNL? Spot on! |

Oh I so want want to get involved in this discussion and have a rant over all this US election lunacy........ but I won't as it's not my country. That and the fact that I have to remind myself that politics aren't exactly amazing here in the UK either, especially considering that it's a country with an unelected Prime Minister.... and not only was he unelected, he's also totally unelectable to anyone of sound mind. |

I feel that most people are looking at this in the wrong light. Now, before I get into this, I am not a hunter, or an Alaskan for that matter. The truth of the matter is that the wolf is a predatory animal. With a population of over 9,000 in Alaska, they are certainly a force to be reckoned with the the Alaskan wilderness. They stalk and prey upon other sources of food for the people located in that region. Not only does this type of hunting protect other types of game, it also helps protect the wolves themselves. By allowing an annual controlled hunt, this helps prevent the overpopulation of the wolf reducing starvation and disease within the packs. A bill that allowed for the aerial hunting of under 1,000 wolves makes sense and is a necessity given the sheer size of the state; 2.5 times the size of Texas. Please, do not get me wrong, I do not condone such a method of hunting and would never, NEVER, participate in such a hunt; it is just not sporting. As of the matter of Palin's religion, it has no bearing in this argument or any other discussion involving politics (that goes for all the candidates as well). I have no idea why we as Americans place such a great deal of focus on a person's religious beliefs. Not only are they suppose to be held separate from government, they do not have any merit as to what type of political leader that person will be. Now that I have put in my two cents, I am going to go stare at my Navi World. |

About the hunting of wolves... You made some good points I really can't argue with. It's the lack of sportsmanship (which you pointed out) that infuriates me. Those aren't hunters; they're middle-aged overweight slobs who are too lazy -- or cowardly -- to get on the ground and at least give the wolf a sporting chance! About Palin's religion, I pretty much agree with what you said. She can believe whatever she wants as long as she (or old John) doesn't try to drag it into the government. But enough politics. I'm going to follow your advice, kinda...I'm going to meditate on my Steelfish. ![]() Steve |
