Just picked up this new one today, and also just got my Airwolf back from service. Might as well take the pics together. Loving both.

AWESOME choice, I love the XD! I had two recently sold one off to buy the XDM, one subcompact and one with the 4" barrel. My next choice is going to be the XDM 9mm for the upgraded trigger, I noticed my XD's both had a longer trigger pull then some other pistols I've fired. Heres a little family photo of some of my collection. From left, Nickel Plated Colt 45, Taurus PT-709 Slim for conceal carry, XD9 subcompact, Lancaster Arms Polish Underfolder AK47, Lancaster Arms AK47 Pistol, Mossberg Chainsaw 12ga shotgun, HK416 .22 rifle with an Eotech EXPS2 red dot. Gotta love Arizona and their Gun Laws :)

You can't go wrong with a 9mm Glock. Light weight, easy to use.
Only thing I recommend is some repetitive assistance and hands on practice taking the glock apart when cleaning it. You need to pull the trigger in order to split the gun for cleaning. It's very easy to do, but you need to remember to clear the round in the chamber or else you'll let a round go. Don't let it deter you from buying it though. Any responsible gun owner should learn to feel comfortable and stay safe with his gun no matter the brand.
