I am not sure if this belongs here or in the "Post your funnies" section :-)
Dear moderators, I'll leave it for you to decide ;-)
I was casually browsing through some Breitling related items on eBay when suddenly I was given this recommendation as "more items related to Breitling".

Quick, only 8 days left :-)

Hi Wassa,

Bentley is certainly associated with Breitling and the description of the 3 Bentley Contis seem fairly correct as I understand it. The association is via the dashboard chrono and the watch you can have, B for B. Not sure there is any other tie up. Do you know?

A cheap sale if this was in Australia, and probably overpriced if it were in the UK. Not sure about the price in the US however.
Although you would have to get over the fact that it’s all black......... Oh dear. Limited market segment I would think, as its not to everyone’s taste. But in BHs they probably won’t have too much trouble shifting this one. Wonder how much languid driving this one has done on the Pacific Highway or up Solar Drive to the old McQueen residence?

Of course I realize the association between Breitling and Bentley Jim.
I just found it funny that the eBay engine made that association as well.
As if to say - "If you are interested in a Breitling watch you might also be interested in this Bentley". :-)

Mind you, if I sold all my watches ........

Hi Wassa,

Yes, well even Ebay sellers are switched on to current business arrangements in the wider world.

I see your point, which I did not notice originally. I guess if they wanted to make some associations, they could have mentioned 5 wins at Le Mans 80 years ago or even W O Bentley's early days as a railway engineer and then an aero engine maker. Probably not as interesting though to the demographic this car is pitched at. :)

Keep your watches and let someone else buy the Bentley. They are a costly choice for the rich, and the wannabes, and not as interesting as a Ling collection. Perhaps thats why they filled up the ad with info on the association!
