Hey folks! As there are people from all over on BSource, I was wondering, how many of you are skiers? And where do you folks ski? What skis do you use? What style or underground do you like to ski? What are your favorite ski resorts?

I'll start! As may have become apparent, I love skiing and do so mainly here in Switzerland and in France. Just got myself a pair of new slalom racers from Head to take over from my quite beaten Rossignols. I love Grindelwald/Wengen as a resort, and Argentière on the Mt Blanc's side.

Hey Fred,

I love the snow!

Although the Alps are closer, we always travel West to the USA. Skiied in lots of resorts.

Favorites are Breckenridge and Park City I guess. The conditions can be extraordinary, with almost zero time wasted waiting to get on a lift. We did ski Killington, but that place can be ice city! Banff and Lake Louise in Canada were fun places to ski too.

I ski on K2 Apache Recon's with Atomic Hawx 110 to grab my feet!

I tend to like turning short and sharp as opposed to straight downhill as fast as I can!

I started out skiing, but I snowboard now. We've got Mammoth about a 4-5 hour drive from here. That place is pretty amazing. My go to place is Big Bear though, since its only about 1.5 hours away (you may have seen it on the news over the past few days).

Yes.
Ski western US, Telluride, Tahoe, Breck, Vail, Beaver Creek. Really like Telluride for the mountain and the overall vibe, no lines, but it is a little harder to get to than some. Vail back bowls are the bomb! All of them are great ski resorts. Skiing on Rossignol Bandits from a few years ago.

I've been skiing for 20 years. I used to live in Seattle and would frequent the local resorts in the area- Stevens Pass, Crystal Mountain, White Pass, Mt. Hood.

Now that I live in the UK, it's much more of a production to go skiing, not to mention far more expensive, as I have to get on a plane. This is shaping up to be the second year in a row that I will have missed out on the season

I ski on a pair of Rossignol S5 Barras' with Marker Jester bindings and Nordica W10 boots.

I love skiing and have been fortunate to ski many parts of the world. Favorite resorts are copper mountain in the US, chamonix in France, Verbier in Switzerland, and south New Zealand is very cool also. Need to hit Japan and Canada next!

I use rossignol e2 bandit boots, and my last pair of ski's - rossignol I threw in the bin as they were trashed. Most recently I tried some volkl's off-piste style ski's and they were awesome.

Wow, now all over really means all over! I would really love to discover some of the American resorts you guys ski at, especially Vail, as one hears a lot of good about it. Perhaps I'll just throw my skis into their bag one day and jump the pond, courtesy of whatever airline has the best fare. I also dream of just leaving everyone behind in the midsummer heat to go hit the slopes somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere. Certainly will do that sometime soon. In the meantime, I have drained my legs in a rather 007ish fashion, skiing down Piz Gloria/Schilthorn this morning. The combination of Salomon RS-120ies and Head WC Rebels I.SL slalom skis worked a treat but killed my legs in just over four hours.

We pretend to ski here in Australia each winter... but there is more fake snow than real usually!

When we go back to Canada, we ski Fernie, Kicking Horse, Lake Louise etc (I grew up in Calgary, and my sister and brother-in-law still live there so makes for a nice base to travel from for skiing)
