Think you're a superfan because names like Breitling or BMW tickle your spine? Think again!

Today, I stopped at a highway petrol station just outside Zurich because against all odds, there's a great bakery in there. Anyhow, notwithstanding the purpose of my visit, I was greeted by two very well shaped backsides of Italian origin when entering the parking. Having accompanied Motorsport events for years, it was not too unusual a sight for me, but still... One can't deny, it's always nice to come across one of those... If not two. Having gone back to minding my business I entered the station, indulged into the mandatory flirt with the girl on the counter and purchased a loaf of bread. Then on my way out, my eye was drawn to something and the two maranellinas in the parking lot came back to mind. In the coffee corner sat a whole family, parents with two kids, dressed entirely in Ferrari branded apparel, red puma shoes, jackets with challenge stradale embroided on the back, caps and so on. Picturesque to say the least but at the same time, an example of passion. Here was a family living its dream, loud and colorful though it might have been and somehow that was an uplifting sight to see.

Though I'm both far too critical and far too cynical to ever be one of them, I really like superfans, they are Happy people and having happy people around, I think, is a great thing.

I know, this post could make more sense if it was about chinas milk industry or something the like, but its Sunday and I thought I'd share a little story... Aside from that it's a good excuse to mix up the BMW wave with a little Italian red ;) not that there's anything wrong with the BMW wave of course.

Great, my car is going in for an oil service tomorrow, so if you could please have that land on my office's outdoor parking by around nine o'clock... Not quite a BMW, but I think it'll do as a replacement ;)

Letzigrund Stadion should make a nice landing spot, and it's right next to my BMW service center.
