It's a Helicopter FLIR Thermal Imaging System Infrared Imager... something I have no use for but it sounds and looks cool ;)

LOL, you mount it on a helicopter and use it mainly at night or in low light conditions to track objects on the ground that have a thermal footprint. It's the stuff they use on "cops" to find people hiding in the bushes etc.

I know I'm weird, I just thought it was cool :wink:

And if you use it sitting on the ground, in the hangar, you can use it to virtually look through the dress of the lovely lady wandering across the front of your chopper*
