Hello Peeps

Long time no post but as the members here are so diverse I thought that this might be a good place to ask if anyone wears a Panama Hat - or knows anything about them.

I've just ordered this one http://www.panamahats.co.uk/products/-F ... %7D10.html and wondered what you lot thought.

I hope it's not so much a sign of getting old - I like to think of it as developing my own style!

Pictures to follow if I don't look too daft!

Right - yes I looked at that kind of thing but wanted something a bit more distinctive and a little more formal.

What particular style you wear? I did a quick search and there seems to be a lot of different ones to choose from. Looks like a good all rounder with a plenty of choice to suit most occasions.

I currently have three Panama Jack hats, I wear them mostly on vacation and always look like a tourist... but hey, I am!

I plan to wear mine mostly for holidays and down time too so as you say - happy to look like a tourist with it on.

Probably very comfortable and like an old friend to you. Probably just as well it can't talk! :-)

Nothing to add about panamas I'm afraid as I've never considered one myself, but what I will say is welcome back BB! Been a long time! :D

More of a Barmah man myself (http://www.barmahhats.com.au/), I think I'd look silly wearing a Panama with a western saddle, but I'll second Driver8's comment - great to see you back. It's obviously reunion week, you and BoneDoc in the space of a few days.

Has BoneDoc been back? Guess I must've missed that one.

Ah that'll be why I missed it then. It's like a whole'nother world in the vintage section.

Thanks chaps! :D Good to be back.

Very busy working with some nice breaks in between. I should have been able to buy some more lovelies but seem to be spending money on moving house a lot recently :(

Hat arrived today and am not sure if it's me or not.

Maybe should have gone for a fedora style instead of the folder - will see what the boss says when I see her in a couple of days, that will be the main decider.

Very light though and excellent quality.

Wanted it for my trip to Toronto next week as I understand it's nice and sunny :D :D
