Now that I have your attention  Do any of you fine souls no of any decent hotels near the airport?

I'm flying out in August for 3 weeks and I hate Bangkok but my flight arrives at night and I fly out to the island mid morning the next day and I can't be arsed to go right into the city so the closer the better.

Any ideas, much appreciated......cheers!

Andrew

Also, another quick question, as a British citizen do you need anuthing other as you're passport and insurance documents to enter Thailand for a 3 week holiday? You didn't the last time I was there but that was in 2006!!

You can have 30 Days visa free entering/departing by air but only 15 days entering by land last time i was there (2011). The Thai government do move the goalposts a lot though ! You only need a passport and evidence of a return ticket to enter.
