Hi folks, for all you aviation nuts out there
Had a great day down at Farnborough, left the house at 04:00 for an early flight down, great day out although the weather was very average.
It was the first time I have seen the A380 fly, what a sensational display she put on!! I just wish the F22 Raptor was there.
I've managed a quick edit on this lot:

There is not Breitling stand at Farnborough, this is as good as it gets for us Ling fans!

Now for the rest of the proper pics

Nice shots Damian!

I wish I could have been there to see the Vulcan fly. Hope she got a good reaction from the crowd.

Truely great photos Damian - you have good technical skills and your composition is spot on too.

Glad you had a good day.

I think it would be good to have an organised day at Fairford next year - real shame about the weather this year. We could have a mass meeting at the Breitling tent!

Wot about Leuchars?

Damian, Those are BRILLIANT Pics!

And thanks for the Pics of the Breitling Banners. This airshow is the world's biggest and the fact the Breitling was present there (in whichever form) underlines the single most important message the Brand communicates - Instruments for Aviation Professionals.

Damian - you just answered one of my questions on another thread. I went today and was looking for a Breitling stand but only saw those banners. Odd they weren't there. :?

Seeing the Vulcan fly again was awesome and I actually found it quite a moving thing. It was about 25 years ago that I last saw one in the sky and it brought back huge memories for me.

I'm with on the lack of Raptors too. A real shame. Also, did you notice how few RAF fighters were there? Could it possibly be that we are so hopelessly over-stretched around the world that none could be spared? Hmmmmm.

God that brings back memories.

As a kid my father worked in the industry and I used to spend two years looking forward to Farnborough - it was later in the year then, just before we went back to school.

Always got to go for two days - one of the trade days when I could get all of the freebies without loads of other people, and through my dad got models, pictures, books etc that Joe Public couldn't get; and then on one of the public days for the flying - Concorde's first appearance, the scary power of the Viggen, the amazement at a Harrier bowing to the crowd, and a few years later the SR-71.

Amazing photos Damian, and thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Many thanks for the comments everyone, much appreciated. I just wish the weather was better as I feel these photos are quite poor due to the lack of sunlight, a lot of them are very soft. Oh well, theres always next year
